Thesis Title: Later Stone Age and Iron Age Human Remains from Mlambalasi, Southern Tanzania

About

I recently finished my Master's degree in Anthropology at the University of Alberta.

For my thesis project, I analyzed Later Stone Age and Iron Age human remains from a rock shelter in the Iringa Region of Tanzania. I excavated the remains from this site with my supervisor and several colleagues between June-August, 2010. Based on preliminary AMS radiocarbon dates and the archaeological context, at least one of the skeletons may belong to the terminal Pleistocene LSA. The project entailed creating osteobiographies for the individuals present and interpreting their archaeological context within the rock shelter.

My interests include bioarchaeology, osteology, palaeoanthropology, and palaeolithic archaeology in Africa.
