About

I am currently a MA student of Anthropology at the University of Alberta. Some of my research interests include prehistoric resource procurement, mobility, lithic technologies and experimental archaeology. I am a new member of the Baikal-Hokkaido Archaeology Project and participated in the excavations conducted on Rebun Island. I have also worked in the Great Basin on Paleoindian sites. For my MA I will be performing a compositional analysis of obsidian tools collected from the ongoing excavations on Rebun Island, using PXRF. I hope that this will situate Rebun within the larger archaeological contexts of Hokkaido, Sakhalin and Kuril Islands.

Interests:
-Lithic Technology
-Experimental Archaeology
-PXRF
-3D Scanning technology
-Environmental Archaeology
